Welcome! We’re so glad you have joined us in the RIO building, where you will learn all about writing, creating, and flamingos. This tome of oddities outlines the creation of a story starting from the first building blocks, to publishing, and everything in between. Not only is it educational - it's also fun, and not in the "elementary school pizza party" way. It's fun in the "bonus novel in between the educational chapters that includes a cast of wacky characters, vague concepts, and at least one goat" way! So...do not run. Do not hide. Do not resist. AND, please take time to enjoy the coffee at Insomnia's 24 hour coffee shop.
And now for an important memo: We recently lost two of our dinosaurs from the Dinosaur Petting Zoo. No, they didn’t die. They are roaming around the RIO Building and hiding in fountains. Make sure to watch out for dinosaurs in things that have ‘fountain’ in their name. Fountain pens, water fountains, garden fountains, and fountain drinks are some of their favourite hiding spots. Dinosaurs aside, prepare yourself for the writing journey you’re about to take! Remember to pack your notebook and bucket! Soon, knowledge will rain down from the ceiling, leaving an incredibly suspicious water stain.
